MY DEAR BLOG.
IM BACK! (:
Now, I return to you with a very inspiring story a friend just told me as bedtime story (?!) hahas.
The story goes something like this....
A student asked a teacher what is it like to have a girlfriend/boyfriend or in short, to love someone.
And so, the teacher replied with a task for the student - The teacher ask the student to go to the corn farm outside and pick the biggest corn back to the teacher.
However, he must abide by 1 rule: he cannot turn back after picking the corn.
The student agreed and so he went.
He went into the corn field, and suddenly, saw a big juicy corn.
He thought to himself: 'the corns around this corn are all quite big... if i go further into the field, i will be able to find bigger corns.'
Thus, he left the corn and went on.
After a few steps, true enough, he saw corns bigger den the former.
He grinned to himself and asked himself the same question again: 'Should i travel on and see if there are bigger corns out there?'
He thought to himself for awhile and decided 'why not?' and he went on.
However, for the rest of the field, he couldn't find any corns as big as the last one he saw. When he finally reached the end of the field, he has no choice but to pick one, a small one and returned to the classroom.
When he was back in the classroom, the teacher asked him to share his experience with the whole class and how he "regretted" not plucking the 2nd big corn.
After he was done, the teacher told the whole class the following moral to be learnt -
Love can be explained by:
When you walk into the field(this world) and see a lot of corns(people) around you.
In your search for the one(the biggest in this task), many people eventually settle for the ONE which you think is big enough(in this task) and nice enough for u to not be embarassed of.
What a corny story. BUT, inspiring isn't it?
I personally feel that the moral is super convincing.
Not just love, but yeah, like when you make choices, sometimes when you try to be too perfectionist, in the end, you may not end up with the best too.
OH WELL.
And yeah, I miss you bloggy! hehe my old friend.
